Hand Drawn Typography Set

The first example of my hand drawn typography on the top left was created by cutting out the letter forms from paper so I could slot different imagery behind the text.
The one on the top right was created by drawing the letters with fine liner and painting around them with different strengths of watercolour. I used this same technique for the image on the left but used acrylics.

Urban Monoprint

This is a mono print, which I then scanned into Photoshop and added some colour.

I used mono print because I wanted the image to look quite grungy and urban.

Penguin Classics Book Covers

I created the book-covers below using a variety of media including watercolours, fineliner, inks, and I used Photoshop to bring it all together.

The cover on the left was created using a photograph of grass imported into an Adobe Illustrator template and I used the pen tool to create a 'path' in the grass.

Typographic fact sheet

I created this fact sheet on Tigers in Photoshop using only typography, warping the letter forms and sentences to form a tiger.

Swiss Style Typographic Design

This is the front cover for my Swiss Style Typographic Design book, which included many Swiss Typographic designers and styles, and this was my own intake of the style.

Life drawing

Here are some examples are from my life drawing class.

In the sheep skull drawing, instead of the traditional shading for the shadows underneath the skull, I used strong, tapered lines, whilst keeping the drawing of the skull quite soft and delicate

Book in a box

I chose to use a small briefcase for this project because it represented being quite personal, like an old photo case. I wanted to show old memories, and also wanted to give the feeling of happiness.
This project involved a lot of cutting and mixed media work.

Grimm's Tales Posters - Hansel & Gretel

I created these two posters for a performance being held at the Ben Kingsley Theatre. This was a live project and my designs were chosen to be printed to advertise the play.
